Powertronix – Worldwide Power Solutions

Powertronix is recognized as a leading innovator and supplier of engineered power solutions to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) – in the medical, renewable energy, automation and power distribution industries. The company’s product line includes: transformers, isolation stations, inductors, power distribution units, and AC-DC power supplies. Headquartered in Foster City, California, Powertronix is a privately owned company founded in 1991.

As so many of our clients do, Powertronix found WebSight Design through a Google search for SF Bay Area web development company.

Our creative work included a full re-design of the firm’s web presence, including Responsive Web Design (RWD), a custom coded image map and the creation of custom navigational icons.

On the engineering side, we deployed a robust custom content management system (CMS) that includes a product database, a forms manager, a team bios manager, and a careers section. Front End programming includes site search. WSD also completed 301 redirects from the old site to the new site.

This project was extremely difficult because the client needed extensive help with content preparation and also had a hard deadline, which is never a good combination. WSD launched the site just hours before Medical Design and Manufacturing West, an important trade show that Powertronix attends annually. WSD additionally deployed a managed cloud Virtual Private Server to insure a level of hosting uptime and quality commensurate with Powertronix reputation for excellence.
