Doobons Launches as the First Truly Professional and Patient-Oriented Medical Marijuana Resource!

Doobons is a legal medical marijuana dispensary search engine dedicated to providing medical marijuana advice, promotions, and other resources to anybody who might benefit from the use of medical marijuana.

Doobons traces its beginnings to an unsuspecting family member whose father was diagnosed with cancer. When traditional treatments were unable to effectively manage the patient’s pain and chemotherapy was causing a debilitating inability to eat, Doobons’ founder began to search for alternative medicines.

Doobons also provides comprehensive resources, such as information on how to get your medical marijuana doctor’s recommendation or cannabis card, which strains or forms of intake are best for particular illnesses or ailments, as well as current up-to-date news.

Help Brent Raise Funds to Improve the Standard of Living in Nepal.

This site has been created to help Brent Thomson, a Pacific Union International real estate agent, communicate with the public about an upcoming charity event. Brent will be running the Everest Marathon, and will be using her newly designed website to collect donations for food, medicine, clean water, and education for Nepalese people.

After her first visit to Nepal in 1996, Brent explains her truly life-changing experience which acted as a call to action in terms of charitable contribution. As a result, the site will draw in money for a variety of Nepalese charities, benefiting the people of Nepal by providing essential goods and services to the country.

The Everest Marathon, first held in 1987, starts at an altitude of 17,000 feet and ends in the Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar at 11,300 feet. According to the Guinness  Book of World Records, it is the the highest marathon in the world.

The WSD team developed a new user-friendly website with visitors to BrentRunsEverest.com in mind. Enhanced by state-of-the-art web technology and social media, the professional and engaging design was optimized for both users and search engines alike.

WebSight Design relives history with Fort Ticonderoga

WebSight Design is proud to announce our new client, Fort Ticonderoga.

Along with now providing them with hosting services, we completely redid the site with a new design, an easy to navigate site structure, and a back-end with a Content Management System.

With the robust CMS, the client can log in and make updates to nearly every page, add additional pages when needed, manage the photos on the home page, and post upcoming events to their event calendar for prospective visitors to the Fort. It saves a considerable amount of time and gives them strong autonomy.

The site also presents several interesting e-commerce features, such as making a tax-deductible donation to keep Ticonderoga’s doors open. You can also join the Friends of Fort Ticonderoga and enjoy several benefits. Finally, you will discover the Fort Ticonderoga Museum store that offers a wide variety of specialty products for children, youths and adults. It is considered the best history bookstore in the region!

We have worked hand in hand with all of the Fort Ticonderoga staff, particularly with Beth Hill, the executive director, to create a site that inspires American history and shows the magic of this place of interest.

Fort Ticonderoga, formerly Fort Carillon, is one of the great places in American history. It is located near the south end of Lake Champlain in upstate New York. Built by the French between 1754 and 1757 during the Seven Years’ War, it was of strategic importance during the 18th-century colonial conflicts between Great Britain and France, and again played a role during the American Revolutionary war.

The Fort is now a tourist attraction, early American military museum and research center.

Fort Ticonderoga’s museum offers visitors the opportunity to discover the objects that helped shape the nations of North America! Historic weapons, engraved powder horns, and everyday objects used by soldiers help tell the story of how history was made at Ticonderoga.

A WSD Framework Upgrade and A New Site for Smart Meetings

WebSight Design is excited to announce the rollout of our new 1.5 framework with the launch of SmartMeetings.com.

Smart Meetings is a magazine dedicated to providing event planners with up-to-date trends, information, and destinations of the Western region of the US. With over 2,000 hotels listed on the site and an enormous database, we took the old underlying database structure and efficiently modified it to fit the new site rather than re-inputing the data into another format.

Among other various benefits for our client, the new site will:

  • Decrease website management time
  • Improve site conversion
  • Increase advertising revenue

Decreasing Website Management

A few of the framework upgrades showcased in this project include a more modularized website, in-line editing, and skinning of the site administrator. Additionally, deeply integrated with Word Press, the News/Videos section of the website pulls media from the blog when they have been tagged in given categories.

Improving Site Conversion

The RFP process, the primary conversion goal, has been setup based on APEX industry standards and allows planners to request information directly from hotels. The new site design, conversion funnel, and content additions create clear calls to action that will increase the number of RFPs completed.

User registration and modules for event planners and hotels are specifically tailored to fit the needs of each user base. Users can manage contact information and RFPs as well as register for events.

Increasing Advertising Revenue

Because Smart Meetings’ revenue comes from the banner ads displayed on the site, we provided the client with Double Click integration that targets ads by the content of each page. With print media and advertising on the decline, we have provided the client with a strong source of online ad based revenue.

WebSight Design Helps Realtor Launch New Property Valuation Tool

WebSight Design recently developed HomeToggle, an additional site for realtor client, David DuPont.

David DuPont runs The DuPont Group, a real estate team that falls under the Decker Bullock Sotheby’s Realty umbrella. Using his over 15 years of real estate and business experience, David realized that there needed to be a new way of valuing homes, especially with the current economic climate.

Home Toggle is the new real estate valuation method he created. It is based on the consensus of the real estate community and can be used in conjunction with or as an alternative to the comparison method.

The valuation number comes from three factors: property structure, the lot and location value, and a “wow factor.”  It takes into account numbers from past sales and current appraisals.

Currently in a beta stage and continuously evolving, Home Toggle is for the use of realtors, home buyers and appraisers, and any others interested in real estate.
