Cabo Wabo’s New Site is as Smooth as their Award Winning Tequila

cabo wabo homepageWebSight Design has launched CaboWabo.com, and it’s as cool and smooth as their award winning tequilas. The site was converted from Flash and upgraded to jQuery. The new Javascript website offers a unique design with sleek style and smooth transitions.

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) have allowed for universal background width control, and the transition from Adobe Flash to Java brings opportunity for advanced search engine optimization (SEO) throughout the site.

Cabo Wabo, founded in 1996, was the creation of legendary musician and tequila aficionado, Sammy Hagar. After painstakingly seeking out the top tequilas to serve at his Cabo San Lucas cantina, Sammy decided to begin his own brand with the assistance of a tequila-making family with over 80 years of experience.

Today, production begins with Blue Agave cacti grown in Jalisco, Mexico by the same family with which Hagar originally partnered. After about 8 to 10 years,  the heart of the plant is extracted and transported to the distillery where it is used to create one of the most smooth and delicious tequilas in the world.

Cabo Wabo’s awards include a plethora of double gold, gold, and sliver medals from around the world. Most recently, the brand was awarded the Double Gold Medal for their añejo at the 2011 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

These awards, their agency partner Meatoes, and their new WebSight Design site will really help to cement Cabo Wabo as the top tequila in the world.

The Ocean Foundation: Supporting Those Who Protect Healthy Oceans

The site was designed to offer support to a community of organizations committed to protecting ocean environments from the trend of destructive behavior around the world. It is highly stylized and made to enhance the user experience.

With a creative photo slider and easy-to-use tabs, the new site offers a system for newsletter signup, donation collection, photo & video content uploading, and financial advisory toolkit sharing. WSD also conducted a professional search engine optimization (SEO) audit of the OceanFDN site. From this, an SEO framework has been implemented which will hopefully lead to further optimization of their site.

The OceanFDN site connects donors who care about the coasts and oceans with organizations looking for grants and other support. Their portfolio ranges from local to global projects and reaches across the U.S., and as far as Barcelona, Spain.

The Ocean Foundation not only facilitates project financing, but it also provides consulting and general advice to its organization partners. To accomodate this, WSD has designed an OceanFDN Blog and Virtual Newsroom on the website, so The Ocean Foundation can more effectively communicate with its fans and other community members.

These features will allow OceanFDN.org to continue to strive towards its organizational goal: “Tell Us What You Want To Do For The Ocean, We Will Take Care Of The Rest.”

Help Brent Raise Funds to Improve the Standard of Living in Nepal.

This site has been created to help Brent Thomson, a Pacific Union International real estate agent, communicate with the public about an upcoming charity event. Brent will be running the Everest Marathon, and will be using her newly designed website to collect donations for food, medicine, clean water, and education for Nepalese people.

After her first visit to Nepal in 1996, Brent explains her truly life-changing experience which acted as a call to action in terms of charitable contribution. As a result, the site will draw in money for a variety of Nepalese charities, benefiting the people of Nepal by providing essential goods and services to the country.

The Everest Marathon, first held in 1987, starts at an altitude of 17,000 feet and ends in the Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar at 11,300 feet. According to the Guinness  Book of World Records, it is the the highest marathon in the world.

The WSD team developed a new user-friendly website with visitors to BrentRunsEverest.com in mind. Enhanced by state-of-the-art web technology and social media, the professional and engaging design was optimized for both users and search engines alike.

Client Spotlight: Franklin + Gower

We are proud to present you one of our most creative clients, Franklin + Gower.

Franklin + Gower is a LA-based fashion brand of custom and ready-made pants, shorts and blazers for men, woman and kids.

They offer a large range of products with several variations of colors and fun details. The style is quite classical but the trims make them unique. Pants and shorts for example are decorated with amazing trims along the leg. Bold stripe or subtle pipe, it’s up to you. Trims also appear on the inside waistband and seam. Blazers are decorated too with trims on the underside of the collar and pocket flaps and along all of the seams inside the jacket.

They also offer you the possibility of creating your own model. With almost 100 different fabrics, everybody can find exactly what he is looking for. That’s for sure! Pick a base fabric and then match it with the trim of your choice.

Clapper, Patti, Schweizer & Mason’s Fight for the Legal Rights of Mesothelioma Victims

Websight Design has just completed the redesign of mesothelioma-attorney.com.

Clapper Patti Scheizer & Mason has been a client of ours for many years. This new web site was an interesting Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing project.

We have worked hand in hand with Bothwell Marketing- a colleague of ours specializing in design for law firms. We took the new design, and placed it on top of Clapper Patti’s existing code base, which we wrote and manage. The client was able to get a fresh new “face,” without having to do a complete re-working of the site’s code. So the site looks new on the outside, but still has all the programming features on the inside, and they didn’t lose any data or search engine positioning.

Clapper Patti has been working with Bothwell to revamp their print campaign. The redesign of the website went hand-in-hand with this marketing effort.

We also used the new design theme to update the layouts of the Pay Per Click pages. These are standalone web pages that users land on if they click on an ad for the law firm that they see on another web site. With PPC pages, we are able to help the client track which keywords are generating interest and convert them into form submissions, which translate into leads for the law firm.

The new homepage emphasizes how Clapper Patti can help and has helped victims of mesothelioma.

Discover Arizona’s Number One Casino

We are particularly proud to present you the new web site of Cliff Castle Casino Hotel, the favorite casino destination resort in Arizona.

Their previous site was outdated and didn’t reflect the extent of what the resort had to offer by way of gambling, restaurants, entertainment, and lodging.

We redesigned the user interface to put the focus on the spectacular photos of their venue. The compelling photos provide eye candy and visual interest. The updated navigation makes finding your way around the site easier. A red, black, and gold-toned color scheme reflects the rich history of the Yavapai-Apache tribe, as well as the upscale nature of the resort.

As far as programming, we established a visitor conversion funnel to become a player club member and integrated third-party reservation software, so that users can book their stay online.

We also built a really extensive content management system, which allows Cliff Castle to update the photos and the content on each page, as well as upload PDFs to advertise getaway specials, showcase restaurant menus, and provide more information on the venues.

Additionally, there are administrative functions in the content management system to manage their player club members.

In the future a mobile version of the web site will be produced.
