WebSight Design’s recent redesign of STDandHIVtesting.com has launched and is already receiving positive results.

Our client came to us in need of change- its website and online marketing efforts were not meeting the desired goals of the business.  After careful analysis, WSD developed a solution that would differentiate the company from others in its market while delivering the leads and online exposure necessary for it to succeed in its competitive niche.

The first step was a complete overhaul of the previous design. With the new look completed and live, we have begun rolling out a multi-pronged online marketing campaign, which, among other elements, will focus on search and social media.

Still in the early stages, the revamping of our client’s underperforming PPC campaign has been successful so far.

As deemed by Haydn’s vision, HaydnCole.com is “a wonderful mixture of a modern looking, clean ‘site-scape’ and good home-style vibrations.”

The website site allows fans, and those just discovering him, to experience his musical talents while also getting to know him on a personal level.

Through the music area of the site, visitors can listen to songs from his album “Back Home,” which is available for purchase on iTunes. And for those desiring more, there is up-to-date information on his live performances.

One of the highlights of the website is the photos section. Here images not only chronicle the musical process, but with beautiful shots of places of significance in Haydn’s life, they also embody and enhance the emotions his songs evoke.

With a passion for creating music beginning at a young age, Haydn has spent most of his life pursuing his dream. As a recent graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, he has moved to Brooklyn to perform and share his gift of music and composition.

The new site allows visitors to search for ranches by location or property name. They can also use the custom designed space availability finder to choose a ranch based on the desired dates of their trip.

Detailed ranch profiles include photos, room rates, lodging descriptions, contact information, and reservation requests, making it easy for users to conduct research on potential ranches and lodges without having to visit multiple websites.

In the backend, a robust content management system permits the client to manage site content and properties, as well as view reservation and listing requests.

The site was designed to showcase Consuelo’s work through integrating various forms of media.

It features a Flash music player, a photo gallery, song lyrics, and YouTube videos.

Additionally, fans can stay connected to the artist by clicking on the social networking icons that are included on the site.

Currently living in Los Angeles, Consuelo is a singer and songwriter. She has performed at influential music venues in Hollywood, such as Key Club and The Roxy, and numerous special events, including the Ovarian Cancer Coalition of Greater California Walk/Run for Ovarian Cancer and the seventh inning stretch of a Los Angeles Dodgers game.

In addition to her music career, Consuelo dedicates her time toward the fight against ovarian cancer. She is an active spokesperson for the Ovarian Cancer Coalition of Greater California.

Her song “Find a Way” can be purchased online through their website with all proceeds benefiting the organization.

Dylan Dog is the world’s only private investigator of the undead with his business card clearly reading “investigator of the paranormal: no pulse, no problem”.

The movie adaptation of Tiziano Sclavi’s Dylan Dog, titled Dead Of Night, is opening this year.  “Dead of Night” is a gothic thriller based upon one of the world’s bestselling series of graphic novels, “Dylan Dog,” and is set in the European-feel backstreets of New Orleans, a city with a long and storied history with regards to the supernatural.

Staring Brandon Routh (Superman) as Dylan Dog, the world’s only private investigator of the undead.  While he knows all of their underworld secrets and rivalries, Dylan is increasingly convinced that, like any normal person, the less he has to do with the undead and their myriad problems, the better. However, a missing artifact, a beautiful heiress and a brutal murder conspire to drag him back into the dark world of the undead.

WebSight Design was proud to create the official movie site for this movie.  Because this movie has such a following, our web design team worked doubley hard to create a design that would live up to the movie and the comic.  We wanted to make sure that this site was the only place you needed to go to find pictures, exclusive videos and trailers for the upcoming Dead of Night Movie.

The best indicator of successful usability is a clear understanding of the web site’s target audience. For example, the audience of our rock musician clients want multimedia. They want to download audio tracks, play videos, see large photos, and actively participate in the web experience on a fan level. A fan will most likely have multimedia plugins on his or her computer, and if not, will eagerly download them to be able to access enhanced content.

The audience of our real estate clients, however, want to find information, and find it quickly. They aren’t interested in lingering through a Flash animation that stands as a hurdle to the information they’re after. And while photos of properties are necessary, waiting for them to load, having to navigate a sea of thumbnails, or having too-small images will turn a potential homebuyer into a frustrated web user. The real estate agent or company won’t get that user’s phone call.

The tough part is finding the balance between easily giving base-line visitors what they want, and not boring (therefore, alienating) more sophisticated web users. Luckily, that just happens to be our specialty.
